More Blending

End of the year and here I am, blending. Great fun, if only I could sit outside in the lovely sun and do it I would have a nice tan and an unburnt spot on my lap...it is nice out today. But aside from that...I am trying to create my apartment, so for now here is something else I made. Please don't even ask about a lit cigarette in the ashtray smoking.....NOT THAT FAR YET!!!

Yeah, i know, what's up with the weird bottom...working on perfecting so just wait for that too.

Music

Now I'm sure I've said that many songs are my favorite song... but putting all songs with fiddles aside, this is my favorite... I saw it live in the infamous Golden Gate Park in San Fran, oh what a perfect day that was...

Since my last post...

Just thought i'd show all of you, how little of you there are, how quick I am to render. Granted, I am drinking a beer and and talking with someone all at once, but this was a simple quickie just so I would have some more glass up there. Very easy and quick to make if you know what you are doing and have done it five million times like I have. New Belgium bottles are the hardest.

Blending Lately

So I haven't quite reached all godliness yet, I cannot make liquids or gasses, but I can certainly make solids. Images shall follow...

It started out with the whole fact that I wanted to now just how good I could make a purfume bottle. The intern at work was told to make one so she could see how good he is. Then I saw it and thought "hm... I can make a better one." So I started out with that.

Then of course I had to fix the lighting.

Minor adjustments...

Then I got bored with the purfume bottle, aside from the irritating fact that I do not know how to make liquids yet so I can't make it look like there is something in it (and besides the fact that the straw was irritating me very much by then... I moved on to a new idea. Where is it? Well typically...

Then I thought... something doesn't look right. What is it... oh right. Typically there is a mirror behind a sink because some people actually like to watch themselves brush their teeth... but anyways, I had never made a mirror before. I tinkered a little, and of course by now my computer is moving so very slow and I'm just so antsy to know if my settings were right or not so I can't look it up online to see if i did it right or not... It's not too crisp, it looks like someone just took a shower and fogged it up but hey, it reflects!!!

So after that very happy blender render I thought hm... even though typically people don't have mirrors directly facing a shower, let's put a curtain back there. Yes, an ugly one but even though it is ugly, look past that. I used the colors to distinguish the texture that it rendered better. It is a learning process to see what certain things do, not to make everything gorgeous.

Believe me, if I had more ram it would have more than that. But my computer is so freaking slow that I had to move on to other things. I would have enjoyed making a hairbrush, toothbrush, some candles, maybe a bottle of lotion or something that "normal" people have in their bathroom ( i just have soap and candles on the counter personally...) but once I started a new session of blender I was satisfied once again and could move with ease. If only I could have a gig of ram....(just to be happy...would really like 2, not that you care....)

That's all for now, will post more about blending soon since that's what i'm up to lately. BTW, people need to call me more often. I don't like getting phone calls twice in one day about two people dying. I knew something was up as soon as I saw someone calling me, when I usually always am the one to call them. Really nice Christmas. This year sucks, make next year good please...

I don't like this year

As my grandma said to me this morning when she called, three people with the name McMurtrie have died this year. Some are thinking of changing their name. I really hope that next year is a better year and cannot wait for this year to be done with. They were all great uncles and now the sweetest great aunt i had. Nobody is allowed to die anymore, do you all hear The Ginger?

And thanks to you Shawn I can't stop being mean. All because you wanted to be Dr. Phil.

At our work MB gets everyone a basket full of stuff. The salesman got everyone things too. He gave me purfume with "bath and shower gel" with it. MB saw it and is known for being a little bitter... she said to me "do you take baths?" I started laughing and so did everyone else because it was so harsh. "I didn't mean it like that!!! Some people only take showers..." It was a weird day all in all. David got a professional skillet and nice cigars from him - probably spent alot there, it is a real nice skillet.

Well, I think it might be time for me to bathe, since apparantly MB thinks I need to.

Cold desert

No, I don't mean ice cream, that's dessert. It's around 50 degrees here where you would think it would be warm since it's the farthest south i've ever been. No. Up where I was in cali was warmer there than here, and i'm almost to mexico! Boy do I miss cali...

Because it is cold and I am very thankful to finally have my leather jacket, I have been working on my afgan again. Yeah i know i'm lame, I crochet... but even worse, if my grandma could see this, she would be ashamed. I have bene occasionally working on this afgan for TWO years. Yes, that's right, I started working on it just after my 20th birthday. Ok so maybe it's more like over a year that i've been working on it, but still. It takes my gma only like 1 month if that to make one afgan. But this is my first so I am proud of it, and it will be warmer than the average afgan that has lots of holes in it, this one does not. And I am making it to be CAL-king size, since evertying else we have is cal king size...including the bed which i refer to his side of the bed as "his bed" and mine to "my bed" because it is so big. I like cal-king...lots and lots of room.

I just realized why my car is probably idling so low lately...it's probably because it's cold. I keep thinking it is going to stall just because it idles so low, but it's just been a long time since it's been in the cold, so that's probably why...hopefully.

The Docutech at work is my favorite thing now. You would think that it's just this extremely loud and heat producing machine that is old, but it is so much more. Even if you don't care, please at least click the link to see just how big the machine is. It's like 15 feet long and will bind, coallate, and print extremely fast... it is a beast but it does everything for you and i'm in love with it.

Anyways, thank you for listening, don't forget to sit up straight.
