There are alot of people...everyone is different. However....there is one issue with seemingly everyone...They are either stupid or they TRY to figure things out...this is all effect due to the cause of their parents' parenting skills...Basically, either your parents neglected to teach you much or fix your toys, so you went about learning on your own how to fix things and how to set a vcr clock because nobody would show you. Then comes the need to disassemble everything to make sure that when/if it breaks you will kind-of understand what the problem is. Also, the wonderful parenting skill of my mother's "look it up in the dictionary..."
The other people have parents that are constantly watching everything they do and making sure that they do it a certain way and showing them how to do it over and over until they get it right. They dont do anything that people havent taught them or told them to do. These poor, poor people grow up to be close minded, self-destructive people that are well....HOPELESS.
Those people really really irritate me....especially if they were never taught how to be polite. they will never TRY to figure out how to program the microwave's clock when the power goes out. They ask you for the manuel....who needs a manuel to use a microwave? why is it so hard to TRY to figure it out instead of asking, BEING SHOWN, and still not capable of getting it done even though there is no way that you could do anything harmful to it with trial and error. arghhhhh
Moral of the story....
Dont let your sons grow up to be cowboys......just kidding. Keep those minds open, trial and error is how many things came to be...you are never finished learning. Keep those doors open.

Promotion
Gordon is leaving the deli, which means there wont be an assistant manager....except that i am going to be it now so it all works out. Yeah, i'm gonna be the assistant manager. YAY! So first things first....slapping the slackers around. The people who do shit horribly......fix. No actually i've already been trying to do this. But now David will be supervisor so that means that he can tell people what to do also, so that means I dont haveto tell them his problems, when he can do it himself.
Today, was a very.....very full day. Lots happened. I got a call from the hardware store saying that I got the job, but then he tried to push me around and tell me he needed me to come in on a day that I told him I wouldnt be available. I told him I would call him back on this. Then I went to the deli and had a long needed meeting with Lindsey in the walk in and got promoted. (officially, i think she had to talk to the owner about it first, which today is the one day a week that he comes into the deli...) so yeah, more money, more things to do, more power to push on the high schoolers. (not that i would abuse it, because i dont think i'm hard enough). But I dont like being a bitch, but i have the job title to be one. Nobody ever liked me anyways, so why am I complaining?
cant wait to move out...the place we were going to look at Saturday, the lady called back this morning and said it's been rented out. Very rudely, too. Cant waitto get taxes back too, this is a nice thing, i'll get around 700 back. Just in time (hopefully) to move out of here.
Anyways, i love you Aunt Pam, thank you for sending the pictures, I love you Jessica, wherever you are, please friggin call me or mail me, you know the people to get these from.
HAPPY END OF THE YEAR!!!! Do something rememberable! :D

Overtime overload
Ahh....just sitting back and relaxing with my stressful schedule this week.....closing the store is harder than i thought. The only thing that makes it easy is having a third person. But since the middle shift person is a high schooler and requested this week off to study for her finals (the one time that i would have liked to see her work)...and oh there's more. The two normal closers are both not closing at all ths week...a long time ago Teresa fell on an orange peel at work and hurt her knee. A few days later she fell on the wet floor again on the same knee. She cant work this week and next week due to her having surgery on it. She's lucky we dont have banannas....but i must say that if i werent so hyperactive I would have been severely injured several times by now...but I somehow tend to catch myself, maybe because I'm "superwonderful??" no....light and fast like a kitty kat. Now that it's rainy here we have more floor mats, but they might still not stop me from severely inuring myself.
Also...Danny, the other supervisor who always closes, his wife had their baby Sunday night, so he just got lucky and got to have a week off. It is alot more peaceful closing with David, there are no other workers that I have to deal with or boss around.
So rewind to about a week or more ago, my starter died. Yes.....explain later. David is tightening the third and final bolt (mine had three for some reason) and something tears the back of his hand. He keeps going. It happens in another spot. This is his left hand. He's left handed. At work he has to technically wear a glove all day on that hand, even if it's bandaged. So he is the cashier for days. Fast forward to last night. We are very hungry and have been busy all night. David is making a sandwich for us to split. He is cutting the bacon into bits, which is a tough thing to cut when crispy, so one needs to use much force.......then he cuts his right hand thumb. And nail. I had to work very hard last night to close the store, he couldnt do very much. He can hardly roll his own cigarettes right now. So a few more days of closing, cant miss out on all that overtime so we'll be closing until Sunday.

The Internet
Wonderful thing 'tis, you can find jobs, find things you need or want, talk to your family, listen to streaming music, watch streaming video, download lots of stuff, learn about things that you never really thought about before, and well, just about everything. Even find out where the closest anything is.
I have been online all day.....my back is in severe pain, my knees hurt, i cant communicate with people in the room, I am very tired, and I keep going back to ebay for digital cameras. I bought a few things online, I am glad about it :D do you like The Office??? I bought a Dunder Mifflen hoodie....and a shirt for David that says Beer Pong Champion. Ahh.....well now I'm off to watch stuff on nbc.com since visiting the site was enough to intrigue me to know what is going on with Passions and Days. Not that I am going to start watching it again, just interested in knowing. I heart NBC!!
And hats off to my brother.

Perservere
Yes yes...perservere. One must perservere. I really appreciate this word. This defines what one must do in life.
Moving on...and perservering..........or should I say, trying to...we need to go to an eye doc and also a dentist. Soon. Someone has had their wisdom teeth for far too long and needs them pulled. I am glad that mine (hopefully, according to the fact that my mother AND my father both didnt recive their wisdom teeth until they were past 25...) will not come in for a few more years. I think my ma's came in when she was around 29...let's cross our fingers.
Well, I thought I had more to say but I guess I dont, so I shall go take a nap now...mmm sleep...

Beer and Nuts and fun stuff
So we didnt end up going, again, to our hiking trip that we have yet to ever go to.....but we did bottle our 10 gallons of homebrew today. After of course, we went to SC and bought a key for the rabbit that didnt work and drove all around hungry as hell....As we were waiting for everything to dry to bottle, almost as fun as watching paint dry; we somehow ended up talking about the walnut tree and i realized that i didnt even know there was one at Gordon's property. So very excited, i ran down and around the buildings and well what do you know....there are some WALNUTS STILL!!!!! unlike my property, where all the birds and squirrels all ate them long before they even started to fall from the tree...no. It is as if the animals dont even know about this tree at all. I started cracking some open and mmm.....oh how much i love walnuts oh yes. I am so glad i could actually have some this year, i was so bummed out about all the animals eating ours. There is a man on the property who feeds all the birds and rabbits so i suppose all the animals just eat from him and dont really care about the walnut tree. Yay, walnuts for everyone there then.
I cant wait until the halloween party. Maybe the beer will be ready by then. And i am so very glad that I am not working on Halloween....I would freak out if i had to see all the little kids running from store to store and expecting me to give them candy because they are all hopped up on SUGAR SUGAR SUGAR oh good god i have a shiver just thinking about it. So very glad i'm not going to be passing out candy. I never want to do that.
Happy [late] birthday to Thine RANDAS. As she put it to me once, now no one can call her a teen anymore. She is finally passed all those dumb "teen" numbers. 20 years.
I LOVE ME RANDAS

5VI...something something.
Saturday night, September somethingth, 2006
Friday was such an awesome day. Yeah, ok, I had to get up and be to work at 8...but other than that and my eye issue, I got paid. So 11 am rolls around and I am checking the parking lot for Gordon...he's usually not more than five minutes late, and it's usually on account of the coffee shop being busy. Long story short, he came along at noon when we were busy. It was very busy right up until around 1:40. The lights flickered, went out. Came back on. Then went out for good. People still came in, but we pretty much instantly went dead. I went and got the calculator from the office in case we had complicated orders. For the most part though, unfortunately I have all the prices after tax memorized. Writing everything down on paper (what they ordered, price, paid with) and kept the key in the drawer. Fun fun...I honestly was happy at that moment. It made me glad to have been there when it went out, so I could relax for a bit.
We started wondering after 15 minutes or so if it was even going to come back on at all. I figured it better be time to either call the power people or go find someone in this plaza who already has. So Gordon searched for the number and I went in search of news. I came back with this new knowledge: everyone nearby in the plaza is very lazy. Nobody knew anything. Bill lost his cell phone but was going to call once he found it. A few of the regulars worked up in the tax office that I didnt know about, otherwise they would have gotten their discount a long time ago....and last but not least, the guy who works at the taquaria across the way who is always watching me is alot hotter than i had first thought.
Gordon still hadnt called.
After he did call, found out that on the other side of the freeway the power is on and that 1500 people are out of power. There were trucks on their way to the site and it should be on within the hour. I divied up tips and caught a ride with Rolando and made it down with my car to REGISTER MY CAR.
Every single person I talked to who worked there I could tell that their first language was not english. I started being sarcastic with the car inspector guy but he just looked at me ans said "what?" I think he was from Europe. It was all serious, I couldnt even try to be slightly social to the people to lighten their day because every time i tried they didnt understand me. Ugh. Ironically, my licence plate starts with 5 (five for may, the month i was born) VI (the first two letters of my last name).....I dont really remember the rest of my plate. Oops. But now that I have a car running I can do laundry gladly and if I need something I can go to the cheaper place not the one closeby...and I dont have to do it on my way home from work. No more hauling a 70 pound duffel bag down the hill and through the long parking lot full of prissy people who watch you struggle as you walk by and say "gee, that looks mighty heavy." but dont help in any way. (that's doing laundry without a car.) No more only getting a few things at the store because I have to carry it all back up the hill, which usually always gives me a headache if it's more than 15 dollars worth of food.

Ok....I have a major problem now. My car..it stalls now. It runs fine until I go under 20 mph, then it starts to shake and jump and almost stall until i give it more gas. I'm pretty sure it's not the alternator since I've been through that with this same car last winter and it's not acting like that. Yes, there's plenty of gas in the car. I am so confused....It was running just fine until I picked David up...maybe it doesnt like him. But really though....it was a horrible drive home and I was all shaken up after it finally stalled in my driveway. I dont think it is the idle, since it idles low in park, and it only stalls in drive...well actually i havent tried it in neutral...but i started it from neutral earlier and it didnt stall. this really, really sucks. I just spent all the money on the damn thing to get it road legal and it does this. i could cry...i hope it is something easy. something that i can just slap my forehead and laugh and be glad it's over. But until then.....AAAAHHH my car is broken!!!! Help!!!

MY CAR! MY CAR!
We changed the spark plugs....which costedddd very cheap.
Today...I took thy GMARRIE down to the shop and handed the keys over and look look an hour later the owner of the place who is really cool tells me Yer all set...
What???? i think. He's not telling me "ok, well it looks like something failed..." no...MY CAR PASSED THEIR TEST!!! My car is a smart car...very smart arentcha....good car...you just costedddd me 67 bucks. (They charged 12 bucks for a new gascap...which is outrageous but meh...the one on there had no seal. most gas stations around here i've found do not save the gas caps found, stupid morons.
But yay...now online the price comes out to 155 bucks for registering my car, total. Ugh...I only have 84 bucks until next friday. (plus or minus my tips, which feeds me.) But that money goes to other things too, like 300 for rent and then 120 of it for phone and insurance....which leaves us with almost nothing after i go to register my car. Why do people take my money? this sucks.
Anyways....C'est tout! I'm so happy!!
Ginger Marrie
Oh by the way...as for the walnut tree....I went out to it FOUR days later hoping for some ripe walnuts since the last time i took some there were NONE ripe.....and i couldnt see any. I thought...well it's probably just because I only have one contact in and the sun is setting...yeah that's it...but as i circled the tree over and over i realized GOOD GOD, this tree was FULL of walnuts a few days ago and IT'S BARE NOW. Every single one has been taken by some greedy squirrels or big ugly black birds or maybe even some coons???? And as I was feeling so glum, I suddenly saw one. One, all by itself, with the outside starting to blacken. OOO, it's ripe. So I guess i'll never see another walnut out of that tree for another year. Why would animals take walnuts that arent ripe??? grr....unless all the ones that i couldnt get to were...but i climbed pretty high up in there. stupid squirrels......they took all my nuts. :(n her husband's television show and in his 2002 movie.

Vrmm vrmm
That's what I hope to hear soon...like every day when i get in my car. Yeah yeah you guys say...so much about your car.
The other day we decided ok, time to fix the tire today and give your car a health inspection.
After tracking down a tire iron in the back of Debbie's car, we get the rear driver side tire off. David rolls it...and bounces it...
"There's no hole in this. Where is the nail?"
"What?", I say...confused. "Dude...it was a freaking screw, how could it have came out."
"Well, there is no hole in this tire. Look. There is nothing in the tire either. You made me take this tire off all because you are crazy."
It was on the ground next to where the tire was on the car. Apparantly when he spun it around and around to take it off it somehow came off. There was imprints on the tire of where it was....but no puncture......YAYAYAYAYAYAAAAYYYYEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Poor him, took the tire off and put it back on for nothing. At least it got his blood pumping and got him dirty. Off we went and brought it back new spark plugs. Too bad it's Labor Day weekend....GRRR.......stupid car shops all closed down because they are taking a day off from labor.....
i guess i cant complain too much, I (coincidentally) got the day off too. Actually I suggested to the manager that we close down shop for the day, seeings how that's what that holiday is all about...but I think most of the people that are going to work that day are going to be people that dont really believe in this holiday...it's the first time i've actually celebrated it for myself.
Woo...yay.
Let's make a cake.

NUTS
oh baby i love nuts....walnuts....i like having a walnut tree except i have to fight off the squirrels....i had to climb the tree today to get to the walnuts before the squirrels did. maybe i should hang out around it for as much as possible....then the squirrels will be afraid of the tree and always think i'm in it and wont come around....as my brother says (about me for some reason...) be like a squirrel girl, be like a squirrel....oh oh oh oh oh. (ok so he sings a song that the white stripes made and thinks i'm a squirrel or something...) weird.
YUM I LOVE NUTS!!!!
Thank god I wasnt born allergic to them. they're too damn good to not have.

Car facts...
Ok...so this monday I am going to smog my car and maybe if i have time register it. Fun...I expect the price tag on the smog to be around $50 (if it passes i will be blessed...if it doesnt it will be free but i will have to fix something...but a mechanic i talked to today has faith in my car...and so does Gordon...please oh please pass.....)
Registering it will be somewhere around 100 bucks. Looking at all the fees that the online site gave me it estimated all my fees to be exactly 101...but the lady at sos told me "under 150..." We'll see...
My car is clean...i like clean cars they make me happy.
After those are taken care of i will have to get an oil change (if i havent already to pass smog...) and a tune up (again...if i havent already) And new tires...i've gone over this with you all before. it sucks. money money money....ugh.
It's so bad that my car is all i can even think about anymore...i dont know what else to even bitch about on my blog. Well..until i can think of more (or i actually do something to my car)......

Rite Aid once again
Ok...I was standing at the register yesterday...waiting to help the next customers once they were done deciding...and over their shoulders I see the most evil person I know around here...the supervisor from Rite Aid. Now, for those of you who can recall how much hatred I can have within for someone...this woman is the only person that I actually can say I hate that I have seen in a very long time...so you can imagine that all the hatred I have stored for people has all been deflected into this woman. I throw the pen down on the counter and ask my manager to please take over because here she comes. When I come back there is a note written...it's a good thing that she remembers things I mention to her, because I had asked her to write her name down if she ever came in...and she did. Deborah. I have written Rite Aid once again for this psycho lady. I dont think I will get any reply because I didnt get one last time. but this time I had her name. Oh boy do I hate her...her evil black frizzy hair and so much makeup and ugh.....just thinking about her i am making a horrible face, i feel as though i should spit, right in her face.
Ok....now for the brighter side of things.....i talked to Marta today!!! And as usual, we had perfect timing. I love my Marta. She'll be back in college in a week.
Speaking of college, I think that spring semester I am going to be eligable for free school. Yay!!! Time to start planning for classes, even though unfortunately this college is incomparable to LCC...LCC ROCKS!!! THEY had the best goddamn media program around the entire state of Michigan, and I WAS GOING TO IT!!! I was lucky enough to have the best teacher ever in the entire world who knew just how to teach what he was teaching and teach it well didnt you teacher teach teach teach MR. HAGGADONE!!!!!!!!!!!! World's best teacher and influence. Well...best media teacher. i had some excellent english teachers too...
Yeah yeah, shut up i know i failed english alot of times...
but i got a B+ and an A- in french class!!
c'est impossible.....
Also, I got an invitation to my cousin's wedding! Wow, she's the first of all us cousins to get married. Not sure if i'll make it back or not yet...but i would really love to. The cheapest tickets i'm finding are at 270 after tax. Round Trip.
Too bad i dont have any of those frequent flyer miles...............
~$150 for a one way ticket...Heidi...out of Detroit.
My car is happy.
I am happy.
